ST715
High input voltage, 85 mA micro-power low dropout regulator

Li-ion batteries are by far the most common energy source for battery powered portable equipment. For portable equipment producers, two main concerns exist:
-To save as much power as possible in order to extend battery life and reduce to a minimum any wasted energy drawn from them.
-To reduce the application size while increasing the number of integrated functions that have to be packed into the portable equipment. .
ST715

To address these requirements, ST has developed the ST715, an extremely small 85 mA LDO (low dropout regulator) housed in a SOT23-5L or the eight-lead MLP 3 x 3. This device draws only a very small current, even in the worst operating conditions.
