Very Low Drop Voltage Regulators with Inhibit
 
LD2980 photoHoused in SOT23-5L the LD2980 series of ultra low drop regulators are direct replacements of National's famous LP2980. The ultra low drop-voltage and the ultra low quiescent current make them particularly suitable for low noise, low power applications and in battery powered systems. Shutdown Logic Control function is available on pin 3 (TTL compatible). This means that when the device is used as a local regulator, it is possible to put a part of the board in standby, decreasing the total power consumption.

Ultra low dropout voltage (0.12V typ at 50mA load).
Very low quiescent current (1µA max in off mode, 375µA typ at 50mA load).
Output current up to 50mA.
Logic-controlled electronic shutdown.
Output voltages of : 2.85V, 3.0V, 3.2V, 3.3V, 3.8V, 4.85V, 5.0V.
Internal current and thermal limit.
Available in ± 0.5% tolerance (at 25°C, A version).
Supply voltage rejection: 63 dB (typ).
Only 1µF for stability.
Temperature range: -40°C to 125°C.
Fast dynamic response to line and load.
