The
M41ST87 Tamper IC is ST's first Supervisor for Secure
Applications. Its two independent Tamper Detect circuits
can be used to detect and intercept an intrusion into any system
where sensitive data must be safeguarded.
The RAM Clear functions can be configured to clear the
M41ST87's internal, non-volatile RAM and/or external RAM, as well
as generate a processor interrupt. An Oscillator Fail circuit
detects tampering with the oscillator, and a Unique Serial
Number in each device provides the traceability required in
secure applications.
Two independent inputs detect circuit opening or closing.
