System Overview
AC supplied light sources have so far been fitted mainly with incandescent and halogen lamps. Today's advances in LED technology allow the use of new high-power LEDs not only for specially designed light fixtures, but also as a general lighting replacement. With suitable electronic control, LEDs are not only strong light sources, but also outperform their incandescent predecessors in terms of lifetime and size. The following diagram proposes a wide range of products applicable to LED drivers and LED power supplies working directly off the AC mains. The selection is based on the most useful devices.
