Dear Reader,
With a view to providing the ultimate in system price/performance coupled with a wide range of standard solutions, STMicroelectronics has introduced the ST7 8-bit microcontroller family into the market.
Based on an industry standard 8-bit core, optimized to take advantage of high level "C" Language programming, and with safety enhancing options such as low voltage detection and a wide range of peripherals - CAN and USB to name two, the ST7 Family supports a variety of applications from industrial to automotive and from consumer to computer.
The FastROM and OTP versions, and the Flash model (soon available) will get the designer up and running in near record time. In addition, ST's low cost development tools such as the ST7 Starter Kit and the ST7 Development Kit combine with plenty of third party hardware and software makes the ST7 family totally user friendly.
The ST7 Family complements the already well established ST6 product range, recently extended to include devices in SSOP16 packaging, thus saving board space and total system costs. Low voltage detection and oscillator safe guard improve the already well-known safe operation in noisy environments of the ST6 Family. |
